A message from Bénédicte Garnier

The Rodin Museum in Meudon has been a member of the Artist's Studio Museum Network since its creation. The museum received the French label “Maisons des Illustres” in 2011 and is engaged in the French event “Rendez-vous à l'atelier”.

Over the past few years through the network I have had the opportunity to share my experience with French and foreign colleagues and explored how each museum, in their own countries, deal with the Artist's house. Those meetings and many visits to the artists' houses helped me to get a new vision on the Rodin Museum in Meudon and to define its identity, in order to celebrate in 2018 the 70th birthday of the opening to the public.

I hope this digital issue of the newsletter will help us to communicate with other museums and make you want to visit the Rodin museum in Meudon.
